Experience Momentum: A Holistic Approach to Healthcare

When I founded Experience Momentum, I had a bold vision: to create a space where people could truly thrive in every aspect of their lives. I wanted to go beyond conventional healthcare and focus not just on recovery from injuries but on fostering holistic well-being—physically, mentally, and emotionally. To achieve this vision, I knew we needed an integrated healthcare model, combining multiple disciplines to provide comprehensive support. I believe that everyone deserves a team behind them, cheering them on and guiding them toward their best selves. To me, to 'experience momentum' means embracing all aspects of life and striving to be our best in every way. Our integrated approach ensures that no matter where someone is on their health journey, they have the resources and support they need to flourish.

How an Integrated Healthcare Model Looks

What does an integrated healthcare model look like in practice? It involves a team of professionals from various disciplines working together to help people achieve their health and wellness goals. This interdisciplinary team isn’t only focused on helping someone recover from an injury; they’re here to support individuals in elevating their lives to the next level. Here’s a quick overview of how each discipline works:

  • Physical Therapy: Our physical therapists focus on identifying and correcting muscular imbalances and faulty movement patterns. These imbalances can lead to pain or limit one’s ability to perform daily activities, work, or hobbies with the energy and vitality that contribute to quality of life. By addressing these issues early on, we help people move better, feel better, and prevent future injuries.

  • Nutrition Services: Our registered dietitians provide comprehensive support for all aspects of someone's nutritional journey. Whether it’s ensuring a diet fits a lifestyle, addressing emotional eating, or optimizing nutrition for specific health goals, our dietitians are here to guide and support. Nutrition is not just about eating the right foods—it’s about understanding how food impacts our bodies and our lives.

  • Massage Therapy: Our massage therapists focus on relaxing tense tissues and correcting muscular imbalances. While relaxation is a wonderful benefit, the primary goal is to improve body function, reduce pain, and enhance overall well-being. Massage therapy is a powerful tool in maintaining health and preventing injuries.

  • Fitness: Our fitness programs are designed to empower individuals by showing them they are stronger than they realize. Whether new to fitness or an experienced athlete, our trainers work to help people achieve things they didn’t think were possible. The goal is to help people live life to the fullest—whether that means playing with their kids without getting winded, climbing a mountain, or simply feeling better in their own skin.

The Success of Integration

We’ve seen incredible success with this integrated approach. Clients who initially come to us with a single issue—like a sports injury—often leave with so much more. They gain confidence, learn new skills, and discover they are capable of far more than they ever imagined. One of the most rewarding aspects of this model is watching our clients experience breakthroughs in areas they didn’t even know needed attention. For example, someone might come to us for physical therapy and discover, with the help of our registered dietitians, that they have more energy and fewer digestive issues. Someone might start working with our fitness team and find that their chronic back pain improves, thanks to a combination of strength training and massage therapy.

Jake’s Story: A Testimonial of Transformation

We love hearing success stories about our integrated model, and Jake's journey is a standout example.

Jake Eubank started physical therapy with us and quickly became part of the Experience Momentum community. An avid fitness enthusiast, he enjoys activities ranging from trail running and indoor bouldering to swimming in alpine lakes. After his third shoulder surgery, Jake found Experience Momentum while seeking relief for his persistent pain through medical massages. His massage therapist recommended consulting with our physical therapy team. Despite his initial skepticism—having already spent a year and a half in physical therapy elsewhere—our Physical Therapist’s dedication helped him regain full strength and mobility in his shoulder.

Encouraged by his progress, Jake began personal training to further his overall fitness. He appreciated the seamless coordination between our physical therapists and personal trainers, which allowed him to build strength without risking further injury. As a result, Jake not only recovered from his injury but also achieved peak fitness levels, something he hadn’t thought possible. With his confidence restored, Jake joined bootcamp and strength training classes, enjoying the social environment and challenging workouts. Now in what he deems the best shape of his life, he is considering participating in races and triathlons. Jake's journey is a testament to the transformative power of the integrated services at Experience Momentum.

Recently, we had the honor of coaching a fitness class for Jake and his friends on the morning of his wedding day (see picture above)! We are so happy to see Jake thriving in his life.
