Winter Stoke Party Recap: A Night of Fun, Community, and Climate Action

Ascent Outdoors chatting with event attendees

The Winter Stoke Party was one for the books!

On Friday, February 7th, our Fremont location transformed into a hub of stoke, bringing together outdoor enthusiasts, local businesses, and community members—all in support of Protect Our Winters (POW).

Supporting Protect Our Winters

POW is an environmental nonprofit dedicated to tackling climate challenges head-on. POW mobilizes the Outdoor State™—the 175 million people who love the outdoors—to advocate for policy changes that protect our planet. We were honored to contribute to their mission, knowing that every raffle ticket purchased and every conversation sparked moved the needle toward climate action. Together, we raised over $1,000 and Experience Momentum plans to match this collective donation.

Community Spotlight: Vendors & Partners

We were stoked to have incredible vendors join us in climate action:

They work directly with farmers to source the highest-quality beans, roasting them to highlight their natural sweetness and complexity. With a passion for craftsmanship and community, Kuma Coffee brings exceptional, responsibly sourced coffee to the PNW and beyond. We hope you were able to snag a free coffee sample!

With federal grant funding being up in the air, they can use our help now more than ever!

Premiums for the Planet

Premiums for the Planet leverages the collective insurance spending power of its members to drive climate action within the insurance industry. By uniting businesses, they create a strong incentive for insurers to divest from climate-harming industries and stop underwriting unsustainable risks. Their mission is to redirect trillions of dollars in investments toward renewable energy, climate justice, and innovative climate solutions. At the same time, they help member companies secure stronger insurance coverage while making a lasting environmental impact. They also set up a mean waffle bar and we hope you enjoyed it at the event!

Designed with both function and aesthetics in mind, Kula Cloths are ultra-absorbent, eco-friendly, and feature unique artist-designed prints. Huge shoutout to our Experience Momentum team members who worked hard selling raffle tickets, running games, facilitating ski tuning, and keeping the energy high all night long. Your dedication to building community and creating meaningful experiences does not go unnoticed!

Until Next Time…

The Winter Stoke Party was a powerful reminder of what happens when passion meets purpose. We celebrated our love for the outdoors, rallied for climate action, and had a blast doing it. If you missed it this year, don’t worry—we’re already dreaming up the next one!

In the mean time we spent some amazing time with organizations that continue to need our help through volunteer work or monetary donations. If you have the means through the coming months think about making an impact:

Again, a huge thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the night such a success. Stay tuned for more events, and until then—keep the stoke alive!
